Sharon Stone Eyes European Move Amid Potential Donald Trump Victory

Hollywood star Sharon Stone is contemplating moving to Europe if former President Donald Trump secures a win in the upcoming election. The actress made this known during an interview on the red carpet of the Taormina Film Festival in Sicily, where she was being celebrated with a lifetime achievement award.

Without explicitly mentioning his name, it was clear that her political views were aligned against the former president. Well I’m certainly considering a house here, and I think that’s an intelligent construct at this time,” Stone said to Deadline.

Sharon Stone’s comments on Donald Trump winning the election in 2024 have been widely shared across social media platforms. The actress is one of many celebrities who have expressed their political views publicly, especially regarding their potential move out of the country if certain candidates win.

When asked whether this move would be politically motivated, Stone responded affirmatively, stating, “Well naturally. Naturally. When we see presidential candidates whose platform is hate, that’s something that I don’t feel our country has faced before.” She did not clarify what she considers as “hate” or “hatred,” and the Deadline reporter did not question her further on this statement.

Sharon Stone also expressed her concerns for the political situation in the United States, stating, “Every country historically goes through a period where someone wants to own their country. And in many cases people do. Of course I am deeply concerned with what’s happening in my country right now. This is one of the first times in my life that Iv’e actually seen anyone running for office on a platform of hate and oppression.

This sentiment echoes that of numerous Hollywood celebrities who vowed to leave the U.S. back in 2016 when Donald Trump was initially campaigning for the presidency. Stars like Amy Schumer, Lena Dunham, Cher, Samuel L. Jackson, Whoopi Goldberg, Snoop Dogg, George Lopez, and Miley Cyrus made similar statements at the time. Even Barbra Streisand vowed to move to Australia or Canada if Trump won the election.

However, none of these celebrities followed through on their promises to leave the country when Donald Trump was elected president in 2016. With Sharon Stone’s recent revelation about considering moving to Europe should Trump win in 2024, it remains to be seen if she will take a similar course of action or not.
