Russian Gains: Capturing Towns, Hitting Depots & Disrupting Western Weaponry

Russian forces have achieved significant progress on the battlefield, according to the defense ministry in Moscow. On Sunday, they reported that their troops have liberated the town of Rozovka in the Lugansk People’s Republic and captured Pestchanoye Nizhneye in Ukraine’s Kharkov Region.

Over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian military has faced considerable losses with more than 1,500 casualties reported across various hotspots along the frontline. The Russian military officials assert that these losses include multiple artillery guns, including US-made М777 howitzers.

In addition to this, seven Ukrainian ammunition depots have been hit in different areas as a result of Russian strikes. Russian forces have also improved their positions in several areas within the Donetsk People’s Republic. The statement from the Russian Ministry of Defense indicates that multiple Western- and Soviet-made self-propelled artillery guns, a US-made radar, and a Soviet-made radio warfare system are among the losses suffered by the Ukrainian forces.

Moreover, Russian strikes have reportedly taken out a US-made HIMARS multiple launch rocket system as well as several industrial plants utilized by the Ukrainian military. The defense ministry in Moscow also claims that its air defenses have successfully brought down one Ukrainian Mi-8 helicopter over the past 24 hours.

The recent developments on the battlefield reflect the continuous pressure exerted by Russian forces on Ukraine, resulting in significant losses for the Ukrainian military and strategic gains for Russia. The situation remains tense as both sides continue to engage in combat operations along the frontline.
