He expressed his support for Trump by choosing “strength and security,” as well as “opportunity and prosperity.” White emphasized that he is a firm believer in “real American leadership” and sees Trump as a “real American badass.
This was not the first time Dana White has spoken out in support of Trump at the Republican National Convention. He also made appearances in 2016 when Trump defeated Hillary Clinton and again in 2020. The relationship between Trump and the renowned fight promoter dates back decades to the early days of the UFC, when the promotion faced financial difficulties. Trump stepped in and provided a lifeline by holding fights at the then-Trump Taj Mahal.
Over time, Trump has become a regular attendee at UFC pay-per-view events, further cementing their connection and mutual respect for one another.
