Musk-Biden Rivalry Heats Up: Twitter Owner’s Jab at President Sparks Memes

Elon Musk, the billionaire entrepreneur and owner of Twitter, has recently taken a jab at US President Joe Biden by ridiculing his recent call for financial support from his followers on social media. In this post, which was shared on Biden’s personal X (formerly Twitter) account, the president accused Musk and other wealthy individuals of attempting to manipulate election outcomes through their financial influence.

Musk responded to a screenshot of the post with an amusing tweet saying, “I’m living rent-free in his head,” along with some emojis. He also shared a meme that lauded him as a “f**king legend” for purchasing Twitter and endorsing former US President Donald Trump during the alleged erosion of the republic.

Biden’s campaign has faced recent challenges, particularly after his subpar performance in a debate with Trump, the Republican nominee, late last month. The president attributed this debacle to exhaustion and being “overprepared.” Despite internal calls within his party for him to drop out of the race, Biden has dismissed these suggestions and expressed frustration with the elites in his own political circle who doubt his ability to succeed.

In a recent appearance on MSNBC’s ‘Morning Joe’ program, Biden challenged those within his party who question his decision to run for reelection. He said, “I’m getting so frustrated by the elites – now I’m not talking about you guys – the elites in the party, ‘Oh, they know so much more.’ Any of these guys that don’t think I should run, run against me. Announce for president, challenge me at the convention.

Biden has been a regular viewer and supporter of ‘Morning Joe’, often describing it as his favorite show on American television. One of its co-hosts, Joe Scarborough, was among those who initially urged him to end his reelection bid following his weak debate performance. However, Scarborough later changed his stance and now supports Biden’s candidacy once again.

In the past week, various US media outlets have reported that Musk plans to donate $45 million per month to a newly established pro-Trump super political action committee (PAC. While Musk has not directly responded to these claims, he did share a “fake gnus” meme in reaction to the coverage.

As the election season progresses, it remains to be seen how the ongoing tensions between Musk and Biden will impact their respective campaigns and political standings.
