Mark Hamill Mocks Donald Trump’s Oversized RNC Bandage

Star Wars actor Mark Hamill made light of former President Donald Trump’s recent appearance at the Republican National Convention (RNC) in Milwaukee, where he was seen wearing an oversized bandage on his ear following a Saturday assassination attempt. On Monday night during the first day of the RNC, Trump appeared on stage with the bandage covering the wound sustained in the attack.

In an X post, Hamill jokingly described the bandage as “ludicrously oversized” and speculated that it may have been worn merely for show, suggesting that it was not needed prior to his appearance at the convention. The actor’s comment appears to be based on apparent video footage of Trump at his Bedminster club that surfaced the day after the assassination attempt. In this video, which has not been authenticated, Trump can be seen at a considerable distance with his affected ear turned away from view.

Despite the incident, Trump made an appearance at the RNC on Monday night, wearing a white gauze bandage over his ear. As he walked out onto the stage, the crowd chanted “Fight, fight, fight,” paying homage to Trump’s own words to the audience in Butler, Pennsylvania, shortly after surviving the assassination attempt.

Following these events, Hamill took to Twitter to share his thoughts on the bandage incident, tweeting a post that has since been shared by many online users. The tweet included an image of Trump with the oversized bandage covering his ear and the caption, “1st APPEARANCE of ludicrously oversized ear bandage, apparently not needed prior to tonight.

As the RNC continues, it remains to be seen whether any further discussion or mockery surrounding Trump’s bandage will arise. However, for now, Mark Hamill’s tweet has generated significant attention and laughter among those following this unusual storyline.
