UFC Stars Rally Behind Trump: A Newfound Alliance Amidst Assassination Attempts

In recent times, UFC fighters have become some of Donald Trump’s most vocal supporters in the world of sport. One such figure is Irish UFC legend Conor McGregor, who took to social media following a frightening incident at an outdoor rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, where a would-be assassin’s bullet narrowly missed the former president.

McGregor expressed his support for Trump, lauding him as a man running “for the love of his country!” The FBI later identified 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks as the individual responsible for the assassination attempt, which resulted in Crooks being shot and killed by the Secret Service.

Another rally attendee, former fire chief Corey Comperatore, was also killed after diving on his family to protect them from the gunfire. Two other individuals were wounded but are currently listed in stable condition.

UFC President Dana White, a longtime friend of Trump’s, also shared his support for the president in light of the assassination attempt. Despite rumors that he would change the timing of his trip to Wisconsin for the Republican National Convention, Trump announced on Truth Social that he would not allow the “potential assassin” to alter his schedule and that he would be leaving for Milwaukee as previously planned.
