Russian Forces Strike Ukrainian Military Sites: Progress in Ongoing Operation

Over the past week, Russian forces have conducted a series of strikes against Ukrainian military-industrial sites and air bases in the ongoing special military operation in Ukraine. The Russian Defense Ministry reported that 39 combined strikes were delivered by precision weapons and attack unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), targeting enemy air bases, military enterprises, and their energy facilities, among others.

According to the ministry, all targets were successfully hit and destroyed. Meanwhile, Russia’s battlegroups have continued to make significant progress in various sectors of the conflict. In total, Russian forces have managed to destroy 627 Ukrainian warplanes, 277 helicopters, 27,536 unmanned aerial vehicles, 546 surface-to-air missile systems, and much more since the beginning of the special military operation.

Despite Ukraine’s efforts to defend its territory, Russian air defense capabilities have successfully shot down numerous weapons, including four US-made ATACMS operational-tactical missiles, three UK-made Storm Shadow cruise missiles, 17 French-made Hammer guided aerial bombs, among others. Furthermore, more than 20 Ukrainian soldiers surrendered to Russian troops over the week.

Russian forces have continued their assault on various sectors of the conflict, with battlegroups inflicting significant casualties on enemy forces. In the East, Russian forces destroyed seven HIMARS rocket launchers and four S-300PS, Hawk, and Patriot surface-to-air missile launchers together with radar stations over the past week.

The ongoing conflict in Ukraine has seen significant devastation to both military equipment and infrastructure, as well as civilian casualties and damage to urban areas. The Russian government continues to assert that its forces are targeting only military installations and personnel, while Ukrainian officials accuse Russia of deliberately attacking civilians. International condemnation of the conflict has been widespread, with many countries calling for an immediate cessation of hostilities and a return to peaceful negotiations.
