This announcement came from Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas in a tweet at 8:43 PM after an assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump.
In the wake of this alarming event, Mayorkas emphasized that the welfare of migrants, which he had previously described as his top priority, remains of utmost importance. His statement comes roughly two hours and twenty minutes after a bullet appeared to graze Trump’s ear during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
