Assassination Attempt Ignites Fury: Lea DeLaria’s Call to Action Amidst Heated Political Climate

Saturday’s assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump has brought attention to the recent social media post by actress Lea DeLaria, who starred in Netflix’s Orange Is the New Black, calling for President Joe Biden to “blow him up.” The Supreme Court ruling on presidential immunity seems to have provoked this intense response from the actress.

Lea DeLaria, best known for her role as Bing Boo on the hit Netflix series, made a video urging President Joe Biden to assassinate Trump, which she shared with her 1.1 million Instagram followers. Although the post seems to have been deleted, it highlights the heated emotions surrounding political figures and issues in today’s society.

The assassination attempt occurred during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania on Saturday. Trump was physically injured and rushed off stage by the U.S. Secret Service after shots were fired, with at least one bullet appearing to have hit the 45th president in the ear. Disturbing images and videos of the incident flooded social media platforms, showing what appears to be blood on Trump’s face.

Congressman Dan Meuser (R-PA), who was present at the rally near Trump, told Fox News’ Chad Pergram that he heard eight to ten shots during the attack. Rep. Meuser added that it seems multiple people in the crowd may have been hit and were down, suggesting that it sounded like a .22 or a small caliber weapon.

As news of the assassination attempt spreads, it raises concerns about the growing tension between political figures and their supporters, as well as the potential impact on future public events involving high-profile individuals.
