Trump Predicts Ego Will Keep Frail Biden In Race: Democrats Weigh Options

In recent developments, Republican rival Donald Trump has weighed in on the situation regarding US President Joe Biden’s possible departure from the race for the White House. Trump believes that although some may view it as a negative development for the country, President Biden may choose to remain in the race due to his ego and reluctance to quit. This prediction comes after two weeks since Trump debated a visibly frail and confused Joe Biden.

During this time, liberal media outlets have been questioning President Biden’s mental health, while Democratic donors and lawmakers reportedly weigh their options for forcing the 81-year-old to suspend his reelection campaign. In a phone interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity on Monday night, Trump expressed his belief that Biden will resist pressure to step down.

Biden himself has remained adamant about staying in the race, telling MSNBC on Monday that he is “not going anywhere.” In a letter to Democrats in Congress earlier that day, Biden reaffirmed his belief that he is the best person to beat Donald Trump in 2024. He won nearly 99% of Democratic delegates during this year’s largely symbolic primary elections, which affords him considerable power within the party.

Trump explained that removing President Biden from office via a constitutional amendment could be the only option available to Democrats should they want to force him out of the race. In such a case, Trump said he would expect to face Vice President Kamala Harris in November’s presidential election. While Trump acknowledged that Harris would likely be a more formidable opponent, he also criticized her as “so pathetic” and “so f**king bad.

This ongoing situation has generated significant debate about the future of US politics and the potential impact of Joe Biden’s decision on the nation’s political landscape. Should President Biden decide to stay in the race despite mounting pressure, it remains to be seen how this will affect his chances for reelection and the overall direction of the Democratic Party in the lead-up to the 2024 election.
