Washington, July 10 – In a statement made during NATO’s summit in Washington, NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg declared that there is no imminent military threat from Russia at present. This comes amidst concerns about potential aggression from the Russian Federation towards NATO member states.
We don’t see any imminent military threat against any NATO ally,” said Stoltenberg upon his arrival at the summit. He explained that the current situation sees Russia fully preoccupied with its ongoing war in Ukraine. In this regard, the Secretary-General mentioned that a significant number of Russian forces have been moved from their positions along the border between Russia and Finland.
In addition to addressing concerns about potential military aggression from Russia, Stoltenberg also emphasized that NATO is actively dealing with cyberattacks and acts of sabotage.
