Conservative Victory: Tractor Supply Ditches Pro-Diversity Policies

The 1792 Exchange, an organization that opposes leftist corporate policies, has claimed victory after Tractor Supply backed down from its pro-diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) stance. The exchange’s CEO Daniel Cameron told Breitbart News Daily that the group will continue to pressure corporations to abandon their support for DEI initiatives following Tractor Supply’s decision to do so.

1792 Exchange was one of several organizations that lobbied for Tractor Supply to rescind its DEI policies. The company pledged to eliminate DEI roles, discontinue DEI goals, and refocus its priorities towards agriculture education, animal welfare, veteran causes, among others. It also vowed to cease sponsorship of pride festivals and voting campaigns.

Cameron explained that the 1792 Exchange sent a letter to Tractor Supply stating: “Look, you shouldn’t be filling out the corporate equality index. What you should be focused on is good business because if you fill out the corporate equality index and try to do something like Target and Bud Light, you’re going to hurt your bottom line.” He also pointed out that companies that adopt progressive stances could face legal exposure.

Other activists, including Robby Starbuck and Libs of TikTok, have also criticized Tractor Supply’s previous stance on DEI policies.

It’s no secret that @TractorSupply is one of the most loved brands in conservative America. But did you know that they also promote LBGTQ training, fund pride events, and support s*x change surgeries? Their CEO Hal Lawton established a DEI council and supports a radical gender… pic.twitter.com/gj7IwDysWd.

Yeah it’s because leather champion Jim here told them to pic.twitter.com/w2ixrrQEoF.

Cameron stated that by eliminating its DEI policies, Tractor Supply decided to “respect their customer base.” He urged Americans to support companies when they abandon their DEI initiatives and said that the 1792 Exchange will continue its efforts in this regard.
