Poll Shocks: Majority Wants Change – Replace President Joe Biden

WASHINGTON, June 29. A recent survey by Morning Consult has revealed that a significant majority of US voters believe that the Democratic Party should consider replacing incumbent President Joe Biden as a candidate in the upcoming election. The poll, which questioned over 2,000 adult Americans, discovered that an astonishing 60% of respondents expressed their belief that Biden “definitely” or “probably” should be replaced following his performance during last Thursday’s presidential debate.

The results of the survey were shared by Axios news website, which highlighted the fact that when respondents were asked to choose between Biden and former President Donald Trump, 45% chose the incumbent president while a close 44% opted for the former commander-in-chief. Furthermore, as per the debate viewers polled, an impressive 57% stated that they felt Trump outperformed his counterpart in the event.

This survey comes on the heels of the historic US presidential debate held in Atlanta, Georgia last Thursday, which marked the first time an incumbent president faced off against a former head of state. The United States is set to hold its presidential election on November 5th, and with Trump having already secured enough delegates for the Republican presidential nomination, it appears that the stage may be set for another highly competitive election.

Incumbent President Joe Biden has also managed to win sufficient delegates to secure the Democratic nomination as he seeks a second term in office. However, these recent poll results suggest that the Democratic Party may need to reconsider its candidate selection if they wish to maintain their chances of success during the upcoming election.

While it remains to be seen how these sentiments will translate into actual voting patterns come November 5th, it is clear that many US voters are expressing dissatisfaction with President Joe Biden’s performance and are considering alternative candidates for the Democratic nomination. It is essential for political parties to take note of such shifts in public opinion, as they could significantly impact the outcome of this year’s election.
