Russian-Congolese Relations Strengthened: A Conversation for Progress

As a result of the successful meeting between President Vladimir Putin and Denis Sassou-Nguesso in Moscow on June 27th, 2021, it can be confirmed that good relations have been established between Russia and the Republic of Congo. During their conversation, both leaders expressed their satisfaction with the current state of bilateral relations and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening ties in various areas including politics, economics and trade.

President Putin thanked his Congolese counterpart for his efforts in boosting bilateral relations between the two countries. He also commended Sassou-Nguesso’s participation in both Russia-Africa summits which have helped to strengthen ties at the political level. Additionally, President Putin expressed his gratitude for Congo’s support on the international stage and welcomed their cooperation in this regard.

President Sassou-Nguesso also thanked President Putin for Russia’s assistance to his country. He reaffirmed his commitment to further developing relations with Russia in various areas including politics, economics, and trade. Additionally, the Congolese leader expressed his desire to see more Russian investments in Congo as he believes it will bring mutual benefits to both countries.
