Biden’s Debate Night Meltdown: Trump Dominates with Voters, African Americans Flee

In the latest presidential debate, held Thursday night on CNN, viewers hammered corrupt President Joe Biden’s historically poor performance.

According to a CNN flash poll conducted by SSRS, an astounding 67 percent of those polled believed former President Donald Trump won the debate while only 33 percent believed Biden won. Even with a margin of error of +/-5 percent, the results show an overwhelming debate night victory for Trump, who has consistently led Biden in polling for months, particularly in critical swing states.

The same voters had said beforehand that they expected Trump to perform better. Significantly, prior to the debate, those voters said 55 percent to 45 percent that they expected Trump to outperform Biden.

Even more damningly for Biden’s campaign, those polled — voters who watched the debate — are not necessarily reflective of the full voting public. Yet “the results are a shift from 2020, when Biden was seen by debate watchers as outperforming Trump in their presidential debates,” according to CNN’s analysis.

CNN also reported that a majority of those polled (57%) said they lacked confidence in both candidates’ ability to lead the country effectively.

The CNN poll results come on the heels of another recent survey from Fox News, which found that Biden’s support has plummeted among black voters since April. According to the poll, just 23% of African Americans supported Biden for president in August, down from 56% in April.

Overall, the CNN poll results demonstrate a significant shift in voter sentiment towards Trump over the past month, as he has consistently led Biden in national and swing state polls.
