Moscow Stands Firm on US Involvement in Sevastopol Attack, Vows Response.
MOSCOW – The Russian Foreign Ministry has issued a statement strongly asserting that Washington was involved in the recent attack on Sevastopol. Moscow is firm on its belief that the United States played a part in this heinous crime and a response to it is imminent. The US’ involvement in this horrible crime is beyond any doubt,” the ministry emphasized.
According to the statement, on June 23rd, the Kiev regime, with the support of the United States and its allies, carried out another horrific act of terror against Russia’s civilian population in Sevastopol. The day chosen for the attack – the Orthodox holiday of Holy Trinity – was no coincidence, further highlighting the intentional nature of this crime.
The consequences were tragic: four people lost their lives, including a two-year-old playing on the city beach and a nine-year-old girl. Additionally, 151 people sought medical help, with 82 being hospitalized – 55 adults and 27 children, many of whom are in critical condition. Despite this, everyone is receiving quality medical care, as per the ministry’s statement.
The Russian Defense Ministry accuses the United States of using American ATACMS tactical missiles, equipped with cluster warheads, to inflict maximum damage on the civilian population. The flight paths were provided by US specialists based on their own satellite reconnaissance data. Moreover, an American Global Hawk reconnaissance drone was reportedly on duty in the skies near Crimea during the attack.
In light of these allegations, Russia’s Investigative Committee has launched a probe into the crime. The Foreign Ministry assures that all those responsible for this and other terrorist attacks on Russian territory will be brought to justice. Washington and its satellites have created and fostered the neo-Nazi regime in Kiev, actively nurturing and supporting their Ukrainian puppets, waging war against Russia with their hands and encouraging them to commit acts of international terrorism, to kill Russian civilians, including with the use of one of the most terrible types of inhumane weapons – cluster munitions,” the ministry stressed.
The statement criticizes Western countries for turning a blind eye to these barbaric deeds perpetrated by the Zelensky regime. International organizations have also failed to condemn the actions of the Kiev government. Russia calls on these entities to provide a proper assessment of this latest atrocity and holds them accountable for their inaction.
The Foreign Ministry extends its gratitude to officials from friendly countries, as well as representatives of European and American publics who have expressed their condolences during this difficult time. We mourn with all of Sevastopol, where a day of mourning has been declared today. We express our condolences to the relatives of the victims and wish a speedy recovery to those injured,” the statement concluded.
