RNC Slams Biden Admin: Dems Seek to ‘Destroy’ Voting System

The Republican National Committee (RNC) has criticized the Biden campaign for demanding they drop lawsuits concerning mail-in ballot election integrity, claiming that the criticism is nonsensical and asserting that Democrats are “laser-focused on dismantling election integrity safeguards.” This follows the Biden-Harris campaign urging the Trump campaign and RNC to abandon their attacks on mail-in ballots. The RNC, however, has maintained that their lawsuits focus on specific issues, such as counting ballots received four days after Election Day without a postmark.

The RNC, along with the Trump Campaign and Nevada GOP, filed a lawsuit challenging Nevada’s counting of mail-in ballots that arrived after Election Day without a postmark. According to Nevada law, mail-in ballots can be counted up to four days after Election Day if they are postmarked on or before Election Day. The RNC revealed in a press release that Nevada election officials have been routinely counting non-postmarked mail ballots received after the election date, in violation of the law.

Nevada GOP Chairman Michael McDonald expressed concern about this practice, stating that it undermines election integrity and voter confidence. RNC Chairman Michael Whatley also condemned Nevada’s ballot receipt deadline, arguing that it violates federal law and undermines election integrity in the state. In a statement to Breitbart News, Claire Zunk from RNC Election Integrity Communications called out Nevada’s practice, stating that the RNC is suing to secure an honest election and support Nevada voters against unlawful schemes.

Zunk also pointed out that President Trump has been clear that Republicans should vote legally in a way that works best for them while ensuring proper counting of votes. She emphasized the need for free, fair, and transparent elections, stating that the RNC is changing its messaging and looking at legal ballot harvesting to achieve this goal. Lara Trump, RNC co-chair, discussed election integrity as a top priority during an appearance at Turning Point USA’s Young Women’s Leadership Summit in June.

She explained that the RNC has a massive push for 100,000 volunteers to protectthevote.com and encourage early voting. While acknowledging that some Republicans are reluctant to change their traditional way of voting on Election Day, Trump reassures them that the RNC is working hard to ensure election integrity so they can vote early with confidence. The RNC aims to clean up voter rolls across the country and prevent states from mailing out ballots to people who no longer live in those locations.
