Presidential Drug Use: Reps. Bill Proposes Disclosure of Mind-Altering Substances’ Timings

Rep. Andy Ogles (R-TN) is introducing a bill named the “No Juicing Joe Act,” which seeks to compel the president’s administration to inform Congress whenever the president consumes anything that could potentially alter their mental state and ability to perform their duties. The proposed legislation, first reported by Fox News, would also mandate notification to the legislative branch when the president takes a drug that might affect their judgment or mood.

Ogles, a freshman congressman from Tennessee, discussed this bill on his “Restoring the Republic” show on X on Thursday afternoon. He claimed that President Joe Biden is being administered some form of cognitive-enhancing cocktail to help him function and maintain energy levels. The congressman argued that since the White House has not subjected Biden to any tests concerning his cognitive abilities, it’s necessary for him to inform Congress when he takes any substance that might alter his mental state and performance capacity.

Ogles referred to a video of Biden at the G7 Summit on Thursday, where he appeared distracted and seemed to wander off from other world leaders. Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni was seen encouraging Biden to turn around and face the same direction as the rest of the group. Ogles pointed out that other world leaders had to “graciously start filling in the gap because he’s wandered off, and he doesn’t know where he is.” He criticized the situation, asserting that “this is not the message that we want to portray on the global stage,” as it might encourage countries like Russia, China, and Iran to continue their actions.

The proposed legislation aims to ensure transparency and accountability in the president’s decision-making process by requiring them to disclose any substances or treatments that could affect their judgment or mood while performing their duties. By doing so, Rep. Ogles hopes to address concerns about President Biden’s cognitive abilities and maintain confidence among the American public and international partners alike.
