The U.S. government has been deceiving the American people for decades, according to Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI), who made the statement during an appearance on Breitbart News Daily. Discussing the reality of the Deep State, Johnson referred to instances where former FBI Director James Comey warned about the dangers of Trump’s second term and former President Richard Nixon discussing a supposed CIA conspiracy to remove him from office.
Johnson criticized individuals like Comey, John Brennan, and James Clapper for their role in corrupting institutions such as the CIA and FBI. He pointed out that there were CIA fingerprints on the JFK assassination investigation, with “Deep Throat” being a high-ranking FBI official. The Watergate plumbers, he noted, were also CIA operatives or employees.
The senator argued that these officials targeted Donald Trump even before he became president, and later sought to undermine his presidency for four years. Johnson highlighted the example of 51 former intelligence officials who claimed Hunter Biden’s laptop had all the earmarks of a Russian information operation when it was actually genuine.
Johnson also discussed possible nefarious behavior by the Deep State relating to the events of January 6. He mentioned that General Milley rewrote the order for deploying the D.C. National Guard on January 5, requiring army Secretary McCarthy’s authorization, which was unusual. Army Secretary McCarthy was AWOL for about three hours during this time. Johnson suggested that either there was a complete dereliction of duty in Capitol security or that authorities knew something would happen and allowed it to occur in order to tarnish Trump’s image.
He also mentioned the possibility of agitators being placed within the crowd on January 6, with many of them not being arrested or prosecuted for their actions. Johnson emphasized that the U.S. government has lied about several significant events throughout history, such as the JFK assassination and Richard Nixon’s downfall. He stated that the Deep State is powerful and does not easily divulge its secrets.
