Houthis’ Next Strike on US Air Carrier

Dubai, June 2 – In a recent development, the Houthi rebels in Yemen have targeted the American air carrier, Dwight Eisenhower, twice within a span of 24 hours. The attack was launched using several missiles and drones, according to Houthi military spokesman Yahya Sarea. He made this statement on Al Masirah TV channel.

In addition to the air carrier, strikes were also directed towards a US Navy destroyer and three commercial vessels: Maina, Aloraiq, and Abliani. The spokesman stated that these attacks were executed using multiple drones with direct hits on their targets.

The ship ‘Maina’ was attacked twice – once in the Red Sea and again in the Arabian Sea. The attack on ‘Aloraiq’ occurred in the Indian Ocean, while ‘Abliani’ was targeted in the Red Sea.

In a reciprocal action, the United States and the United Kingdom had launched an extensive strike against Houthi installations on Friday night. Following this, the US Central Command revealed that thirteen targets were engaged in various areas of Yemen controlled by the Houthis. This series of attacks and counter-attacks highlights the ongoing tensions and conflicts between the warring factions.
