The Emotional Last Moments with Johnny Wactor’s Friend

A friend and co-worker of slain actor Johnny Wactor, best known for playing Brando Corbin on the long-running ABC soap opera “General Hospital,” has shared his final moments days after the 37-year-old was killed in California. Ms. Joy, who was with Wactor during his last moments, shared a detailed account of the tragic events that unfolded on May 25th.

In her emotional post, Ms. Joy described how they approached the men at around 3 a.m., initially believing that Mr. Wactor’s car was being towed. They had no ill intent and Johnny maintained his composure as he always did, simply stating that it was his car and requesting them to leave while keeping his hands open by his sides in peace.

However, things took a tragic turn when one of the men shot Mr. Wactor. Ms. Joy recounted how she caught him as he forcefully tumbled back into her arms, shouting “Hunny, you ok?!” He responded with “Nope! Shot!” As they fell onto the street, she pushed her legs under him and tried to hold his body up while screaming for help and urging him to stay with her.

A security guard named Bryan heard the screams and ran towards them while calling a 911 dispatcher. They used a denim jacket to stop the bleeding and performed CPR on him until paramedics arrived and transported Mr. Wactor to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

It was too close range, too extreme of a wound for him to survive it,” Ms. Joy wrote. But my God, he fought to stay.” She expressed her heartbreak over the loss and anger towards the suspects who have not yet been apprehended.

Ms. Joy also called on her employers to provide parking spaces for late-hour staff, emphasizing the importance of safety measures in preventing similar incidents from happening again. Police said that the suspects had Mr. Wactor’s vehicle raised with a floor jack and were attempting to steal the catalytic converter, which are popular targets for thieves because they contain precious metals that can be resold.

As of now, there have been no arrests made in connection to the killing. Ms. Joy expressed her frustration with the lack of consequences faced by criminals and urged for action to prevent further incidents like this one from occurring.

Many of Mr. Wactor’s fellow “General Hospital” co-stars also paid their respects on social media, with Inga Cadranel, a Canadian actress who was cast in the ABC program around the same time as him, sharing her grief over his untimely passing. The official “General Hospital” statement expressed its heartbreak and condolences to Mr. Wactor’s loved ones during this difficult time.
