Texas has sued the Biden administration over a recent rule change that seeks to ensure “fairness, equality and inclusion in all aspects of programs and activities receiving federal financial assistance from ED (the Department of Education).” The Lone Star State argues that the changes would force “unscientific gender ideology” on schools and colleges. Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina have joined Texas’ lawsuit filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama.
