Johnny’s Death: Former Soap Star Shot During Car-Catalyst Robbery

Former “General Hospital” actor Johnny Wactor was tragically shot and killed in Los Angeles when he attempted to confront thieves attempting to steal the catalytic converter from his car, according to his family. The incident occurred on Sunday, as Johnny Wactor left work at a rooftop bar with a coworker. His mother, Scarlett Wactor, stated that her 37-year-old son saw someone near his vehicle and initially believed it was being towed.

However, the situation took a tragic turn when one of the masked suspects opened fire on Johnny Wactor. The assailants managed to flee from the scene in a getaway vehicle, while Johnny Wactor was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries and passed away at the facility.

As of late Sunday, no arrests have been made in connection with this case.

Johnny Wactor’s agent, David Shaul, shared a statement expressing the profound impact that the actor had on those around him: “He was a real moral example to everyone who knew him.” He continued by highlighting Johnny’s unwavering perseverance and determination in pursuing his dreams within the challenging world of acting.

David Shaul added, “Our time with Johnny was a privilege we would wish on everyone. He would literally give you the shirt off his back. After over a decade together, he will leave a hole in our hearts forever.

Johnny Wactor portrayed the character Brando Corbin on the ABC soap opera from 2020 to 2022. He also appeared in numerous films and television series such as “Station 19,” “NCIS,” “Westworld,” and the video game “Call of Duty: Vanguard.” His untimely death leaves a void in the entertainment industry, and he will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and fans alike.
