Michael Rappaport, an anti-Trump Democrat actor, has withdrawn his endorsement of President Joe Biden due to the latter’s stance on Israel.
In a video posted on X, Rappaport expressed his disapproval with the president for holding back weapons shipments to Israel during the ongoing conflict with other countries.
The actor also criticized the open-border policies adopted by the president.
Rappaport had previously worked hard on behalf of President Biden, due to his strong dislike for former President Trump.
However, his support for President Biden began to wane when he realized that his Israel policies were at odds with his own views.
In an interview in March, Rappaport said he would not vote for Joe Biden, leaving open the possibility of voting for Trump later this year.
The actor’s change of stance on President Biden is also due to the latter’s virtual open-border policies, which have led to an increase in crime and looting in cities run by Democratic politicians.
Rappaport expressed his disapproval with these policies and stated that he would not support anyone who supports them.
Rappaport’s withdrawal of support for President Biden comes as the latter’s approval rating among Democrats dropped significantly following his vocal support for Israel amidst the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas.
